Re: rieMiner - Solo + pooled Riecoin mining
I just got some Samsung B Die DDR4... Unfortunately (or fortunately), the algorithm does not benefit from faster RAM... Only ~1% increase from 2400 CL15 to 3200 14-14-14-34! Even in a Ryzen platform, where there should be a neat boost! 235.9 pps vs 233.4 pps in Standard Benchmark (runs with 100000 2...

Re: rieMiner - Solo + pooled Riecoin mining
Why do you say mining directly with a (0, 2, 6, 8, 12, 18, 20) configuration is very inefficient? The sieving for non 6-tuples is very slightly worse because it doesn't use the AVX code, but the difference is very small. I get what I believe to be reasonable results mining for a 7-tuple of difficul...

Re: rieMiner - Solo + pooled Riecoin mining
I think that the bounty is basically made for you as likely not many people will even know about it, let alone try to get it. My main hope is that once the rieMiner name appears in the world record list, we attract more developers and RIC buyers/holders. And why not, get academic interest, and resea...

Re: rieMiner - Solo + pooled Riecoin mining
Up to 10000 RIC bounty for anyone that writes elegant code for a fourth mode (with Solo/Pool/Benchmark) that can be used to beat new records for different tuple lengths and makes rieMiner a reference software for prime constellation finding. Read this issue . Other issues were also open if anyone if...

Re: Mining on testnet
As Testnet is supposed to mimic the Mainnet behaviour, I think that it is a good idea that some people allocate a few resources to mine regularly blocks there. I even used to do this in the past.

Re: 0.16 wallet and bounty news??
clo1 from Discord: I cleaned up a few things so there is not much left to do. We need to set the blocks that BIP65 and BIP66 will become active. Once active, miners will need to run updated mining code or blocks will be rejected by 0.16.3. If not enough miners switch we would end up with 2 chains, 1...
